Starting from the Structure
The project began with a substantial renovation of the existing porch.
Removing the old decking exposed the underlying frame, allowing us to evaluate the structure and prepare the space for a complete transformation. During this phase, we also installed new electrical wiring for future lighting and prepared the porch for the next stages of construction.
The before and after photos tell the story well. While the porch had potential, it lacked the finished appearance and cohesive design that the homeowners envisioned.

More importantly, it creates a natural connection between the porch and the log cabin itself. The wood ceiling echoes the textures and materials found throughout the home, making the renovation feel cohesive.

The railings provide safety without blocking the view, allowing the surrounding landscape to remain the star of the show. The natural wood and stainless cables strike a balance between rustic and contemporary design, creating a look that feels updated without feeling trendy.
A Custom Screen Door with Historic Appeal
